Commitment
Accessibility
Many of the people we care for have low vision, tremor, cognitive changes after a hospital stay, or a caregiver reading the screen on their behalf. This site is built so that all of them can use it.
What we have tested
- Every function can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a visible focus indicator.
- The dialog for requesting a consultation traps focus while open, closes with the Escape key, and returns focus to where you left off.
- Form fields have real labels, required fields are marked in words rather than by colour alone, and errors are announced to screen readers and linked to the field they belong to.
- Text and interface colours meet or exceed the AA contrast minimum in both the light and dark themes.
- The page reflows without horizontal scrolling from 320 pixels wide up, and at 200 percent zoom.
- A skip link is the first thing a keyboard or screen-reader user reaches.
Known limitations
We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, and we have not tested with every combination of screen reader and browser. If something on this site does not work for you, that is a defect on our side, not yours.
Tell us, and we will fix it
Call +1 (302) 203-7113 or email Jerise@tikarihealth.com. Describe the page and what went wrong. We will respond within 48 hours, and we will give you the same information another way in the meantime so nothing about your care waits on a website fix.
